Highlights

The castle and the ancient citadel (the "village”) of Bragança are located on a high overlooking to the left side of the Fervença River, ruling the city, which since soon expanded to west. The castle and fence of Bragança are classified as National Monument by the decree 16.06.1910, being property of the State, allocated to the DRCN. The same decree of 1910 includes two properties located inside the walled perimeter: The Domus Municipalis and the Pillory.
